Why Northern Development Exists
Northern Development was created to bring game development, publishing, and original storytelling together under one independent creative brand. Rather than separating every idea into a different identity, the studio gives our projects a single home where games, books, and future creative work can grow together.
The goal is simple: build experiences with atmosphere, personality, and a strong sense of place. Some of those experiences will be interactive worlds. Others will be novels. Over time, new ideas may take the studio in directions we have not explored yet.
Games, Books, and Original Worlds
Our current game-development focus is Project Shasta County, an in-development Roblox experience inspired by Redding and Shasta County, California. The project is being built around regional atmosphere, emergency-service roleplay, vehicles, environments, and systems that can support a growing community.
Northern Development is also a publishing home. Our current catalog includes Embers of Shasta Lake and No Road Left: Pursuit to Astoria, two original novels connected by themes of community, emergency response, survival, pursuit, and resilience.
What Comes Next
Northern Development is still at the beginning of its story. The website will continue to grow alongside the studio, with development journals, screenshots, project updates, publishing announcements, trailers, release information, and future projects.
The long-term goal is not simply to release content. It is to build a recognizable independent studio and a community around the worlds we create.
